The Full Story

Now, I know what y'all are probably wondering. What the hell is a high schooler doing, having a blog? To be honest, I never thought I was gonna do this. But, if you couldn't tell, this is a blog. This is to give you writing advice if you need it. And maybe if get some of you to read my books on Inkitt.

In middle school, I used to hate writing. I never saw the point to it, because I was that one emo kid that hated everyone and everything. So now you must be wondering, what changed her mind?

I watched The Vampire Diaries.

That's what happened. When I watched it, I thought of questions like 'What if there was a werewolf-vampire-witch mix? A tribrid?'  or 'What if Damon and Stefan had another sister?'  so, that's what happened.

I made a tribrid Salvatore whose love interest was Kol Mikaelson.

And I was stuck on the fanfiction train for awhile. all my books being about The Vampire Diaries or The Originals. I published these books on Wattpad, and although I still have the app, I don't publish on it.

I stopped writing for awhile, because I completely lost inspiration. I mean, Julie Plec's TV shows were my inspiration. And I thought I was only good at writing fanfiction.

After about a month of not writing, I got so many ideas. and I started looking at writing prompts more. On my google drive, there are a ton of unfinished books that I've started but never finished.

And that's my crappy story on how I became an aspiring Writer.

My non-existent update schedule

If you remember, I'm in highschool. Meaning, I also have a life outside of writing, such as schoolwork. There might be times where I'm swamped with Geometry or Bio, and I might not get time to write. And like every other writer, I get writer's block. When this happens, I may work on other stories, because even if I lose interest in a story for a bit, I won't lose interest in writing.

But....

I will try to update every weekend, and I will try to be consistent with this. But, if people start pressuring me, like they did on Wattpad, it won't help at all. It's just going to make me not want to write. Which on Wattpad, caused me to discontinue two of my books. So, moral of the story is, don't pressure me.

Writer's Block

If you're a writer, and claim you haven't had writer's block, I'm calling bull. Every writer, at some point, has experienced it. Writer's will lose inspiration, and just won't have any idea which direction the book should go in. It's okay to admit it. It's completely normal. The worst thing you can do, is put yourself down. If you do that, you'll never get inspiration. You'll feel as if you disappointed your readers. If you're dealing with writer's block, you know what I usually do? I usually ask myself, 'What's the worst thing that could possibly happen in the book right now?' And then I write it. But every writer has their own way to deal with it, if you're having trouble, look at some dialogue prompts, which you can literally find anywhere.
